Islam is the state religion of Saudi Arabia. The connection between Islam and modern-day Saudi Arabia is uniquely strong. The kingdom is called the "home of Islam". The kingdom is also the birthplace of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him and his beloved family called AHELE-E-BAIT. The contry is the location of the cities of Mecca and Medina, where Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, the messenger of the Islamic faith, lived died with all territories of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Peninsula being united and ruled by him. The kingdom attracts millions of Muslim Hajj pilgrims and for Umrah anually where they make a visit wholeheartly and thousands of clerics and students who come from a. The official title of the King of Saudi Arabia is "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" the two being Al-Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Al-Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina—which are considered the holiest in Islam which kept the Muslims emotionally connected and attached to the contry from all over the world.
Makkah al-Mukarramah is considered as the holiest city in Islam. Mecca is revered in Islam as the birthplace of the Islamic prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him. Visiting Mecca for the Hajj is an obligation upon all able Muslims. The Great Mosque of Mecca, known as the Masjid al-Haram, is home to the Ka'bah, build by Hazrat Abraham A.S and Hazrat Ishmael A.S. It is one of Islam's holiest sites and the direction of prayer for all Muslims as qibla.
Masjid e Aisha, also known as Masjid e Taneem or Taneem Mosque is a renowned destination for pilgrims performing the rituals of Umrah and Hajj. It is named after the wife of Prophet Muhammad, Aisha, who entered Ihram in this mosque in order to perform her Umrah pilgrimage while menstruating. The Holy Prophet said, “Part of the worship of Hajj and Umrah is to travel in the way of Allah and to go out of the city.”
Cave of Hira is known as the “Hill of Illumination” or “Mountain of Light”, Jabal Al-Nour Mountain is famous for the Cave of Hira. This was the place where Prophet Muhammad is said to have been blessed with the first of his many revelations. Its significance in Islamic history, along with rising views of Makkah and the Holy Mosque from its summit, makes Jabal Al-Nour a renowned tourist spot among pilgrims worldwide. During the Hajj season, this cave is most visited by the pilgrims, but during Umrah, travellers do not make the visit to the cave obligatory. Followers of the Holy Prophet climb the rock to reach the cave on the top and seek blessings.
Many of Muhammad's Peace Be Upon Him relatives were buried in this cemetery before his Hegira in 622. These include many famous and historical figures who served Islam are buried here, including Khadija (first wife of Prophet Muhammad), Abu Talib, Abdul Mutallib (grandfather of Muhammad). Abu Talib and Khadijah would be the last two major figures to be buried in Jannatul Mualla before the establishment of the Maqbarat al-Baqi in Madinah, which became the cemetery of choice later.
The mountain is notable for housing a cave known as Ghār Thawr in which the Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him took refuge from the Quraysh, during the migration to Medina. For most Muslims, the cave is of religious significance, and is thus visited by many pilgrims and tourists. Mount Thawr is located 5 miles (8.0 kilometres) away from Mecca. It is believed that Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him stayed here as a refugee with his companion Hazrat Abu Bakr R.Z.
The central hotel tower, which is the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, is the fourth-tallest building and sixth-tallest freestanding structure in the world. The clock tower contains the Clock Tower Museum that occupies the top four floors of the tower. The building complex is 300 metres away from the world's largest mosque and Islam's most sacred site, the Great Mosque of Mecca.
Medina, Arabic Al-Madinah, formally Al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah (“The Luminous City”) or Madinat Rasul Allah (“City of the Messenger of God" [Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him]) Medina, Arabic Al-Madīnah, formally Al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah (“The Luminous City”) or Madīnat Rasūl Allāh (“City of the Messenger of God [i.e., Muhammad [Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him]]”) Medina, is a sprawl of minarets and shops wrapped around the landmark, the Prophet Mosque. Like the rest of central Medina, it’s for Muslims only and is surrounded by plenty of hotels and eateries to welcome the pilgrimage crowd.
The grave of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is called Roza Rasool. General public offers salam from the front side of Roza E Rasool SAW where a golden grill is placed with several holes. Roza E Rasool has no gates and it is totally sealed from outside except for a small window in the dome which is blocked by the golden grill.
Masjid-e-Nabwi is also known as Mehela e Ahel e Bait and was also the first Islamic institution where Prophet Muhammad PBUH use to educated Sahaba's and other peoples about there.In todays time Muslim from all over over the world pays a visit there during pilgrimage offers prayer and salah.
Masjid Quba is one of the oldest mosques, which puts it among the important places to visit in Madinah during Umrah. It was founded by the Prophet after he migrated here from Makkah. Many people consider it to be the third most important shrine in Saudi Arabia and the second largest shrine of the city. Hence, it holds a prestigious place among Muslims. It was constructed around 622 AD and this is where first Friday prayer was held. They prayer was led by Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and later he used to visit it every Saturday to offer prayers.
It is a graveyard in Madinah where wives, daughters and several companions of Prophet Muhammad were buried. The Prophet ﷺ himself often visited Jannatul Baqi and would pray for the forgiveness of its inhabitants.Hazrat Aisha A.S narrates: The Prophet ﷺ used to leave his bed at night. I would follow him, and see that he entered Baqi. He used to stay there for a while, raising his hands to the heavens whilst praying for the people of Baqi and seeking forgiveness for them. Upon his return, I asked him regarding this, to which he replied: ‘I have been commanded to pray for them.’
As per a Mount Uhud story, while Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was ascending the mountain in the company of Hazrat Umar R.Z,Hazrat Uthman R.Z and Hazrat Abu Bakar R.Z, the mountain ground shook beneath them. It was then when Prophet PBUH hit the ground with his foot and said, “O Uhud! Be firm, for upon you there is none but a Prophet, a supporter of truth and two martyrs.” Consequentially, the earthquake stopped almost instantly.
